Autumn School report - Nov.2018

It is once again a very positive assessment for the 2018  edition of the DHU 2020 Autumn School which brought together 140 participants at the CCI Nantes Saint-Nazaire,

on October 18-19, around a theme dedicated to new approaches in precision medicine.

Prestigious international speakers were able to share their experience around interdisciplinary sessions with an ever-increasing audience and exchange around workshops and poster sessions.

The new workshop format with a hands-on practical session was also very successful.

In addition to the training objectives achieved with more than 40% of student participation (master 2 degree, PhD students, medical students), this event was also an excellent networking opportunity for scientific and medical participants and fostered the emergence of new collaborative projects.

The Autumn School was also the opportunity to reward two young scientists for their presentation :

Best oral communication award :

Martin Klein, l'institut du thorax, inserm UMR 1087, for his work on "Polypeptide derived from a mite allergen (Der p 2) for the treatment of allergic asthma"

Best poster presentation award :

Wieneke Dijk, l'institut du thorax, inserm UMR 1087, for her poster on "Identification of novel regulators of VLDL Secretion through a mass-spectrometry-based approach".

For the fourth consecutive year, the meeting has been supported by the EASyM (European Association for Systems Medicine).

The European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME) also accredited the event with 8 European CME credits (ECMEC).
